Islamic education is an important aspect in producing quality human capital, which is one of the main assets for national development.
It is believed that those who adhere to the teachings of Islam will have a systematic lifestyle and culture.
Following the path of Islam is important for ordinary people and those with disabilities.
Deaf and hard of hearing students are often left behind in spiritual development, and it is reported that many of these students do not perform well in Islamic education at school.
Moreover, the conventional method used in schools worsens the situation because using static textbooks makes it boring and dull.
To overcome this problem, technological innovations in teaching and learning, such as mobile applications, have been proven to improve the achievement of special students.
Unfortunately, mobile applications for the hearing impaired are still lacking, especially in Malaysia.
Realizing the importance of Islamic education for students with hearing impairment, this project aims to implement "Lets Learn PAI: Edutainment Application for Islamic Education Year 1 (Hearing Impairment)".
This application will be a tool that can help students learn and practice sign language in Islamic education easily and practically.
